Announcements from the Independence Music Boosters
Meal Order Due 10/24!
A personal invitation has been extended to all Music Boosters inviting you to attend the IHS-PTO Tailgate Dinner at 4:30 pm., on Friday October 28, 2011. There are two different menu reservation forms, one for band members click here and one for non-band members/parents click here. Forms should be completed and returned with payment to the IHS office. Parents fill out a form if you are eating at the IMS cafeteria. Band Members fill out the form that says "BAND MEMBER ORDER" at the top. Band member dinners will be delivered to the High School at a time to be set by Mr. Schatt.
All proceeds from the tailgate dinner benefit the IHS scholorship program.

IHS Marching Band at Cedar Point, Saturday Oct. 22
On Saturday, October 22, 2011, we will have the opportunity to perform along a 20-minute parade route at Cedar Point (Sandusky, Ohio). As a musical and educational outreach, we will be partnering with the Northwood High School Marching Band for this joint performance.
Tentative Schedule
- 9:00 a.m. - Report IHS
- 9:30 a.m. - Depart IHS for Cedar Point
- 11:00 a.m. - Arrive Cedar Point/Rehearsal with NHS
- 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. - Cedar Point Performance (TBD)
- 1:00 p.m. - Lunch with NHS at Pavilion (TBD)
- 9:00 p.m. - Depart Cedar Point for IHS
- 11:00 p.m. - Arrive IHS
Pep Rally & Bonfire Thursday October 27
All are welcome to attend the pep rally & bonfire. This is a family event designed to cheer the Blue Devils on to victory over that school from up north! Free hot chocolate and treats in the concession stand, DJ, refreshments, cheering and fun! Sponsored by 25 & Alive and the IHS PTO.
Sounds of the Stadium" Marching Band Concert
Sunday, October 30, 2011; 3:00 p.m.; HIGH SCHOOL Auditorium. Students report at 2:30 p.m. Cost is $1.00 per person or a canned good to benefit the Southern Hills Lend-A-Hand Food Bank.
